Weekend Project

It seems that summer has made its entrance already.
This weekend was too hot to do much of anything outdoors.
One small project has been waiting to be done,
so it seemed like a good time to tackle it.

These garden stakes are about 6 years old
and they look it.
Here's what was used to get the job done.

Looks more like 60 years of rust on our sweet dragonfly.

A putty knife and sandpaper got most of it off
and readied the surface for the paint to adhere.

A primer was used as a base coat.

It should make the paint last a bit longer.

Our critters are ready for another go around in the garden.

Butterflies are always welcome here!
