Meet the Family

We're just your atypical American family.

I'm daisy, Mom to Lil' Guy C.
I run the show at home, love anything farming,
 and enjoy the homesteading lifestyle.

Big K is Dad to Lil' Guy C.
He's  retired,
enjoys ham radio,
and sleeping every chance he gets.

This is Lil' Guy C.
He's a Lego Master
and a fire safety enthusiast!
He is an amazing young man of 23
who loves to learn.
He's also my greatest teacher.

We moved from Florida
to The Piedmont of North Carolina
on January 1st of 2017.
We are die-hard Andy Griffith fans
who like to visit thrift stores,
and generally enjoy just hangin' out at home.
We don't fish.

  3. Daisy, I saw your comment on my blog and decided to stop by. I love your lego family idea. I have a lego lover in my family as well. My son, who is 15, still loves his Legos! I am going to ask him to do something similar with Legos for an 'about me' page for my blog. Thanks for the idea! :)

  6. Daisy ~ I know how you feel ~ my 85 year old Dad is living in a nursing home now (something I swore I would never see happen to either of my parents). It was necessary because of so many health problems that my 80 year old mother was not able to cope with ~ she is showing signs of dementia. It is sad to see your parents age quickly and wanting so badly to stop time before the memories and history of our family slips away forever. Will keep a good thought for Mimi.
    Best wishes,
    Mamie

  7. At first I thought your family were armed with light sabers before I saw the river below. Any gators?

  8. Dropping in to say hi from the barn hop. We lived in Polk County for about a decade. In fact, my own 12 year old guy was born there. As much as my husband loves to fish, we didn't get much of done living there, either. Some of the best people I've ever known were from there. I look forward to the day we can visit again. Thanks for your post!

  10. Daisy, I love your solution for the Legos. My grandson has hundreds of Lego pieces that are just thrown in boxes and stored in the corner of the living room. Your idea for organization of the Legos are ingenious. I'm in process of cleaning out the basement for a play area and I will be using the Lego storage idea from your post. Organizing closets will have to wait for another day.

    Have a great organization day.
