Critters in the Garden

God's creatures come in all shapes, sizes and colors.
They are a wonder, all,
and quite welcome in our garden.

  1. Great pics Daisy, but is that a stink bug I see? Yahoo News has an article today highlighting the stink bug invasion. I haven't see any in my garden yet but I hear every state east of the Mississippi has them and they're destroying crops big time. Squish that bugger!

  2. Wish I could see some of those green frogs in my garden. Since the invasion of Cuban tree frogs I've only seen one and I think he was brought in on a plant from someone else's garden. Haven't seen any since. There's room in my garden for most bugs and I think they tend to balance out good and bad if you leave them alone. EXCEPT for lubber grasshoppers.

  3. Great shot of all the critters in your garden, Daisy. How did you ever get that snake to pose for you? :-) Ours usually move quickly to get away from me. A ladybug apparently laid eggs in our garden and my tomato plants are covered in little ladybugs...good thing, since the bush is covered in aphids. I love looking at your sunflowers.

  4. tami-Yeah, it's a whopper! I've got a lot of 'em. Luckily, we have more birds now to take care of them.

Jane-It looks so cozy in there, doesn't it?

NanaK-I agree, nature knows how to keep the balance. Better than we do!

    Susan-Isn't that snake something?
Good for you and good for the ladybugs!
    Glad you enjoy the flowers!
