WET

We had a great soaker a few days ago.
Ahhhh, you can just feel the garden's delight.

According to the Farmer's Almanac,
March 1st is when we should start planting above-ground crops,
so we might be persuaded to put in a few more things.
Want to see what to sow in your area?

  2. Daisy, your pictures have given me hope that Spring is near. However, I'm not sure that planting charts are going to be helpful this year. I think I'm going to get a good soil thermometer and go by soil temperature. We are still in the polar vortex with a forecast of -10 with snow for tomorrow. I can't remember any other Winter as long as I've lived here which s all but seven years of my life that the temperature has been below zero so many times.

I have onions seedlings and cabbage plants under the grow lights. Hopefully, in another month when they are ready to go into the ground the weather will be co operating a little better. However, the Farmer's Almanac says that our area of the country will have a cold wet Spring. Drats! The same as last year. I'll be planting potatoes in the mud with muck boots on .... again.

Have a great day on at the farm.

  4. These photos are so beautiful. There's still about a foot of snow here, so seeing your flowers and soil is pretty nice. :-)
