Daisy, I have no idea what I'm looking at in the pictures. I'm sure we don't have a plant like that in Nebraska. It is interesting and I am amazed at the plants that depend on other plants for existence.
That's up for debate. Some say the moss smothers the trees, but it's been around for a long time and the trees are doing fine. Some use the moss for mulch.

That's moss that grows on our oaks. I had never realized it had blooms on it until I looked closely.
