Bread Heaven

I've been making my own bread for quite some time now.
I just got tired of paying $3 a loaf
for the tasteless stuff found at the store.
This recipe is used to make some delicious bread.
It makes two loaves, so I eat one right away,

and the other is put in the freezer.

It's enjoyable to see what other folks are cookin' up
on the various blog hops in which I participate.
This post inspired me to try something new.
Same recipe, different method.

The dough was rolled into golfball-sized orbs
and placed into an oiled round cake pan.

It was covered for 30 minutes and left on the counter.

Baked for 25 minutes at 425 degrees, this is what you get.

Sister Schubert ain't got nothin' on me!

Another baker suggested placing a pan of hot water
under the rolls as they are rising.
The oven is off, but the steam from the heated water
helps the process, especially if your kitchen is a bit cool.

Worked like a charm!
The rolls are light and airy inside, crusty on the outside,
just the way I like 'em!
I'm so grateful to those who share their baking secrets.
They help me to do a better job in my chosen profession.
Hope you make yourself something delicious today.
You deserve it.
