A Big Change...

My mom came to live with us almost a year ago.
She was unable to live alone any longer
due to dementia.
As difficult as it was to deal with,
we did the best we could to make her feel comfortable
and take care of her needs.
She never really accepted being here.

Please keep a good thought for Mimi
as she adjusts to her new home.
It's heartbreaking...

  1. Heartbreaking for everyone involved I'm sure. . . . My Mom has entered the "end stages" of COPD ~ I can relate. Guilt, sadness, frustration . . . and yes, heartbreaking, absolutely heartbreaking.

May she soon adjust to her new home and find peace.

  3. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your mother - we experienced Alzheimer's with RMan's mother. It is the most terrible illness for a family to experience - perhaps you are able draw comfort from the fact that your mother doesn't know what is going on. All you can do is continue to give her your love.

  5. Aw. My thoughts and prayers are for your mom. My grandmother had dementia too and it was so difficult to watch and be a part of.
Praying not only for your mom but for peace and comfort for you too!
