The Maple Hill Hop 42

Maple Hill Hop

Welcome to
The Maple Hill Hop,
where we share what's happening outside our doors.

Yesterday was Big K's birthday,
and his request for this special day was to take a lil' road trip.
We went to Downtown Disney
and visited The Lego Store.

There is always something new to see there.

Back at home,
the garden is still giving us plenty of color.

We seem to have a greater variety of wasps this summer.
I found these burrowing inside the petals of a zinnia,
happy as clams in there.

The sweet potato vine (seen here in the foreground),
is one of the few food crops we grow in summer.
We're using it as a border here.

I never tire of zinnias.
They are always in our garden come summertime.

 In any state of bloom,
they are lovely.

The best part is that the butterflies can't get enough!

This is a new variety we grew this year.
I think they're my new favorite.
They remind me of a firecracker.

Hoping you have many beautiful blooms
to enjoy all summer long.
Now, let's get to
HOPPIN'!

  1. Daisy, not much blooming here but then that's my fault. This year was not the best for planting and when days were good for planting, some kind of family event or must do project popped up preventing the day in the garden. Your flowers are amazing. Such color and variety must make the yard look awesome.

Have a great flower enjoying day.
