Bloomin' Tuesday

It's brutal out there!
Big K told me that today it reached triple digits.
Ouch!
We are hoping, as many of you are,
for some rain relief this week.
Until then, we'll enjoy some of the colors in the garden
provided by Mother Nature.

Cosmos relishing the sunshine.

This plumbego is cut back fairly often.
There's a second rain barrel behind it.
I guess it likes this spot.
We are hopeful this pineapple will sprout fruit this year.

Peek-a-boo!

Most of the zinnias self-seed readily.

The first blooms from our crape myrtles!

A cheery basket to greet visitors.

These zinnias are peekin' around the corner
toward the front door.

One of the few coneflowers that actually came up.
So looking forward to seeing it in all its glory.

This butterfly loves the ageratum.
I was unable to identify this beauty.

Hope you are able to enjoy your garden
in this summer heat.
Make sure to stay hydrated
and enjoy nature's bounty.
The temperature can't keep me from bein' outside,
even if I have to garden after dark!
Have a fabulous Tuesday, y'all!

Glad so many flowers can take the heat. Zinnias are so tough!

  2. In spite of the heat your garden is beautiful! We finally got some cooler weather this last week after being in the 100s for about 3 weeks! Hopefully some of that cooler weather will be coming your way. Your zinnias are lovely -- makes me want to go out and plant some! - Suzanne

  3. This heat has really done some damage to our gardens. Your flowers are beautiful despite the heat! Visiting from BT. Have a wonderful week!

  4. The irony would be if it was to hot for the pineapple. That would suck.
