Never!
The heat has gotten me out earlier though.
We're hookin' up with Jean on http://msgreenthumbjean.blogspot.com/
for Bloomin' Tuesday!
I'm surprised we're still getting berries!
I think they want to stay.
Zinnias are an all-time favorite.
So vintage!
Seed pods drying in the sun.
These are from the rattlebox.
Lettuce gone to seed.
I didn't start it early enough
and only ended up getting a couple of harvests out of it.
I'll do better in the fall.
I never knew it had these sweet, yellow powder-puff flowers!
Roma tomatoes will be ready for gravy.
It's surprising that they are tolerating the heat.
Bees are always welcome here.
We've been enjoying the fledglings in our front yard.
So sweet!
Here's hoping you are surrounded
with beauty and peace!
Some things just love the heat, like maters & zinnias. :)
ReplyDeleteHi daisy...Even in the midst of heat and no rain...the garden continues on as beautiful as ever.
ReplyDeleteThe heat hasn't kept me completely out of the garden although it has slowed me down...your blooms are gorgeous...wonder if that's an ever bearing Strawberry..like we have..can produce berries up until the frost.
ReplyDeleteI love your flowers but must say that it's the tomatoes that made me stop and say "aw". I can't wait for mine to start setting fruit-enjoy:@)
ReplyDeleteperrenialgardener-Thank goodness something can take the heat, huh?
ReplyDeleteSusan-Yep, you can't stop Mother Nature.
Darla-Haven't heard of that type of berry. Thanks for the info!
Happier Than a Pig in Mud-Enjoy your tomato harvest! It'll be worth waiting for.
I learned something - I didn't know lettuce bolted with yellow flowers either. Neat!
ReplyDeleteDaisy, Great post! I'd love to taste that lovely strawberry! The sun flower against the bright blue sky is amazing. Jean
ReplyDeleteWow, Daisy. Vegetables, flowers, critters; looks like you're having a great time in your garden this time of year.
ReplyDeleteWow, your gardening season is way ahead of ours in Oregon! I'm just hoping to see some tomatoes that aren't green this year. You've have a wonderful garden, thanks for the tour.
ReplyDeleteYour garden seems to be withstanding the heat well. We have not yet had a real heat spell which is unusual for Southern California but I know it won't be long now. My zinnias haven't started blooming yet but I love them, too.
ReplyDeleteHi Daisy,
ReplyDeleteYour blooms are gorgeous, especially that vintage Zinnia! I guess we don't have to worry too much about the heat in New York. The gardens here are flourishing. Have a great day!
Zoey-Isn't nature amazing? It's always teaching us something.
ReplyDeleteJean-Thank you! Sunflowers are one of our standards here!
NanaK-It's wonderful being surrounded by things you love.
Dandelion and Daisy-Yes, our season is a bit "off" from the rest of the country. You have a lot to look forward to!
Lemon Lane Cottage-Zinnias are easy to love.
Donna-Welcome! Glad to hear things are growing well there!
