A while back,
we put up a clothesline,
after finding out that it cannot be prohibited by our HOA.
One small step for us,
one giant leap for Mother Earth.
Hanging clothes out is one of my very favorite daily tasks.
Out there with the birds singing and the breeze blowing
with the sun warming your back,
it just brings a bit of joy into my life.
What can I say, simple things fill my heart.
I'd been thinking about getting an indoor rack for smaller loads
as well as for hanging unmentionables.
Along with more humid weather coming our way on a regular basis,
it's handy to have one for inside the house
so that we can still use our dryer less.
Lil' Guy and I took a trip to the thrift store yesterday
and this was waiting for me.
It fits squarely in our bathtub,
but it could easily be used on the patio in cooler weather.
One quick scrubdown and this $1 bargain was ready to use.
I am one happy chick today!
Hope you find something to brighten your day!
I think a whole generation is missing out on one of life's simplest pleasures. It's a shame those HOA find hanging laundry a sin. I smile everytime I see sheets flapping in the breeze....
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend, Daisy.
:)
Fantastic find! I pass them in the store all the time and one of these days I'm going to buy one.
ReplyDeleteNow I think I will check the thrift stores first!
Blessings,
Red
Another great find by Daisy! That is a nice rack. It will come in handy for lots of things.
ReplyDeleteAwesome find, the best kind when you are thinking about purchasing something full price and then you just happen upon it or it is given to you. Love it!
ReplyDeletewhat a great find! And how handy that it fits that nicely in your bathtub - talk about efficient use of space :)
ReplyDeleteThat's too bad! So many communities still ban them though. I love that you found an alternative. Good for you!!
ReplyDeleteSue-I couldn't agree more. It's actually against the law to prohibit clotheslines or anything else that uses natural resources. You do the same!
ReplyDeleteRed-Hope you find one soon!
Jane-I'm sure you could give me a list of things I could use it for!
Kelly-Yeah, karma is a good thing...
katy-It's all about the organization, ya know!
Staci-They really can't ban them. It's not legal. We make it work.
Enjoy your weekend!
Ah!! I never thought of drying my cloths in the bathtub! Goodness...it just makes too much sense. :D
ReplyDeletefreedom journey-It sure does!
ReplyDeleteI love it! seek and ye shall find at it's best!
ReplyDeleteDeborah Jean-You know it! ;0)
