This is the second instructional video by the West Ladies that I have enjoyed. From making jam to pickling eggs (really?), the family walks the viewer through each stage of the canning process. The two types of canning demonstrated are water bath canning and pressure canning. I never realized it could be so easy until I watched it on the video. With very little equipment, delicious and nutritious goodies can be made and stocked in the pantry. I kept thinking how wonderful it would be to make some homemade gifts for the holidays this year. Viewing this how-to video is prodding me closer to becoming more self-sufficient and learning another new skill to enable me to provide for my family. The easy manner of these ladies makes it fun and worthwhile to watch.

I do so much better learning things by watching, rather than reading something. This video looks like it might be pretty helpful!

Thanks for the review! This looks like a great resource--I've wanted to learn canning for a couple of years, now, but confess I'm a little intimidated by the implied "dangers" of pressure canning. Maybe starting off with learning the water bath method will be a little less scary!
