We're still dangerously close to freezing temp's at night. :) Maybe in a week or two!Staci@LifeAtCobbleHillFarmhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12970355437338210130noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6205621545063667402.post-60850290330523134062014-05-14T05:35:06.515-04:002014-05-14T05:35:06.515-04:00You've got some goodies to eat now and some fo...You've got some goodies to eat now and some for later! ;0)daisy ghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06129079277073067462noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6205621545063667402.post-74462672184595277172014-05-13T06:21:06.249-04:002014-05-13T06:21:06.249-04:00Thanks for sharing your beautiful photos. Depending on where you live, it's probably a great time to start other plants though. We just can't grow much here in the summer.daisy ghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06129079277073067462noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6205621545063667402.post-24412213752898473132014-05-13T05:39:52.521-04:002014-05-13T05:39:52.521-04:00Learning by doing is the best way to absorb the in...Learning by doing is the best way to absorb the information.
Glad you're safe and that you acquired some rain water.
Enjoy your day!daisy ghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06129079277073067462noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6205621545063667402.post-82324431442025549302014-05-13T05:38:16.786-04:002014-05-13T05:38:16.786-04:00Thanks for stopping by!Thanks for stopping by!daisy ghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06129079277073067462noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6205621545063667402.post-89302928599075055762014-05-12T11:21:23.550-04:002014-05-12T11:21:23.550-04:00I tried to grow broccoli once when I was younger a...I tried to grow broccoli once when I was younger and still living with my parents. It didn't last long. I'd love to try again, but it seems so picky!Alicia Owenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16934137778077147426noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6205621545063667402.post-11819876930300209632014-05-12T10:11:02.923-04:002014-05-12T10:11:02.923-04:00Daisy, it's always interesting to see what'...Daisy, it's always interesting to see what's going on at the farm. Such a wide variety of things are grown there. You are so fortunate to be able to learn from such great teachers about growing plants. I'm afraid I didn't pay too much attention to Mom and her garden techniques when growing up so my learning has been self taught through books, magazines, trial and error. Some things have turned out great and others, not so much.

We had our almost tornado weather blow through last night but just high winds (81 MPH) and rain (1.77 inches) in the end. It filled up my water storage tank and two 55 gallon barrels. I estimate I have about 500 gallons stored for garden watering. I should have plenty until the next rain comes through. All the plants made it through the high winds and look great. Now if the sun would come out and dry out the grass for me to mow, life would be good. :-)

Have a great Farm day.Davidhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00571521947867768070noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6205621545063667402.post-27409315338380590192014-05-12T09:29:11.325-04:002014-05-12T09:29:11.325-04:00Lovely pictures.
