Friday night there were several owls right outside my bedroom window flying back and forth between 3 large pines and making loads of noise.Heatherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01343988569221606506noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6205621545063667402.post-42547107494307520722011-07-10T06:26:53.256-04:002011-07-10T06:26:53.256-04:00Sue-Wow! Since moving out west they are the bird that I hear and see flying over that makes me realize it is fall (where I grew up it was canada geese flying over that meant fall to me). Too bad that their habitat is no longer pristine where your house is, but at least they are finding a resting spot and hopefully getting some food :)Farming Mamahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17938675746905624146noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6205621545063667402.post-88689332560499289192011-07-08T03:50:22.364-04:002011-07-08T03:50:22.364-04:00We go to Nebraska every March to see the migration...We go to Nebraska every March to see the migration of these--the numbers range from 400,000 to over 600,000. The noise is deafening, and the sights unreal. <br />It seems so odd to see them in a "neighborhood" like this. But I'm glad they feel safe there.Suehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10122524042294993949noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6205621545063667402.post-84657402139662953582011-07-07T19:34:43.750-04:002011-07-07T19:34:43.750-04:00I think they know that we don't use pesticides...I think they know that we don't use pesticides on our lawn.
